Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, in the 4100 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 3:53 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and shot the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. A firearm was recovered.
On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, a 17 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
