Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, September 15, 2019, in the 3900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Southwest.
At approximately 6:28 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to the listed location for the report of the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
On Monday, December 9, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 19 year-old Stephan Anthony Harper, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
