Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, February 22, 2020, in the 3800 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 4:15 pm, the suspect and victim were involved in an altercation at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and a fired shot at the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was not struck by the gunfire.
On Sunday, March 8, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 32 year-old Anthony Cobbs, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
