Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, in the 3600 block of Ely Place, Southeast.
At approximately 12:05 pm, the suspect and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a gun. The victim retreated inside while the suspect then fled the scene.
On Thursday, June 6, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, a 16 year-old juvenile male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
