Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, November 22, 2019, in the 2800 block of Brentwood Road, Northeast.

At approximately 7:47 pm, the victim and the suspect were involved in a verbal dispute at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and pointed it at the victim. The victim was not injured during the offense. The suspect was arrested by responding officers and a handgun was recovered.

On Saturday, November 23, 2019, 38 year-old Tyrone Spencer, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
