Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, March 2, 2019, in the 2400 block of Ainger Place, Southeast.
At approximately 5:14 pm, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal altercation at the listed location. During the altercation, the suspect brandished a handgun and assaulted the victim. The suspect was then apprehended by responding officers. A firearm was recovered on scene.
On Saturday, March 2, 2019, 23 year-old Rodney Wells, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
