Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) Offense: 2000 Block of 14th Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, March 5, 2020, in the 2000 block of 14th Street, Northwest.

 

At approximately 1:00 am, the suspect was engaged in a verbal altercation with multiple subjects at the listed location. During the altercation, two suspects discharged handguns. One of the suspects was arrested by responding officers and a handgun was recovered. The victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

On Thursday, March 5, 2020, 24 year-old D’Angelo Phillips, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).

 

This case remains under investigation.
