Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Friday, September 27, 2019, in the 200 block of Savannah Street, Southeast..
At approximately 9:41 pm, the suspect discharged a firearm at the listed location. A juvenile victim was struck by the gunfire. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim received treatment at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, October 22, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 36 year-old Alexis Nehemiah Jones III, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
