Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, January 20, 2019, in the 200 block of 61st Street, Northeast.
At approximately 1:35 pm, the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation at the listed location. While in a vehicle, the suspect brandished a handgun, pointed it at the victim, and made verbal threats. The suspect then fled the scene.
On Monday, February 4, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 27-year-old Stephen Kennedy, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
