Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, November 30, 2019, in the 1300 block of 19th Street, Northwest.
At approximately 3:33 am, the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal dispute at the listed location. The suspect assaulted the victim and then brandished a handgun. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. No injuries were reported.
On Saturday, November 30, 2019, 28 year-old Deonta Smith, of Upper Marlboro, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
