Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, November 17, 2019, in the 1200 block of 49th Street, Northeast.
At approximately 2:42 am, members of the Sixth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. An additional adult male victim was located after they sought treatment at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
On Monday, April 20, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 19 year-old Ricardo Thompson, of no fixed address, was arrested by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
