Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Sunday, February 2, 2020, in the 400 block of 37th Street, Southeast.
At approximately 12:20 am, a suspect approached the victims at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and threatened both victims. The suspect then fled the scene.
On Friday, February 7, 2020, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 28 year-old Kristopher Sims, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
