Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (BB Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, in the 1300 block of New York Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 2:04 pm, the suspect pulled up next to the victims in traffic at the listed location. The suspect then brandished a handgun and pointed it at the victims. The suspect was arrested by responding officers. A bb gun was recovered.
On Tuesday, March 10, 2020, 19 year-old Xiyuan Chang, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (BB Gun).
