Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon: 400 Block of 2nd Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon offense that occurred on Monday, February 3, 2020, in the 400 Block of 2nd Street, Northwest.

At approximately 8:50 pm, a suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a bike lock and struck the victim then fled the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

On Tuesday, February 11, 2020, 27 year-old William Davenport, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
