Arrest Made in an Armed Robbery (Gun) Offense: 2400 Block of E Street, Northeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, in the 2400 block of E Street, Northeast.

 

At approximately 8:10 pm, the victims and a suspect agreed to meet at the listed location to conduct a transaction using the Offer Up online application. When the victims arrived, four suspects approached the victims. Two of the suspects brandished handguns and demanded property from the victims. The victims complied and the suspects then fled the scene.

 

On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, 21 year-old Antonio McCoy Jr, of Northwest, DC, was arrested for Armed Robbery (Gun). This case remains under investigation.

 

Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for an armed robbery committed in the District of Columbia.
