Arrest Made in an Armed Carjacking Offense: 4000 Block of Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking offense that occurred on Sunday, December 1, 2019, in the 4000 block of Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest.

 

At approximately 6:20 pm, the victim agreed to provide transportation for the two suspects. Once at the listed location, one of the suspects produced a handgun and demanded the vehicle. The victim complied. The two suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. A short time later, one of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. The second suspect made good his escape.

 

On Sunday, December 1, 2019, 27 year-old Alexander Day, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking.

 

This case remains under investigation.
