Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sixth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, September 2, 2019, in the 3700 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 5:19 pm, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and struck the victim. The suspects then entered the victim’s vehicle and fled the scene.
On Friday, September 20, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 24 year-old Tequan Whitley, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).
This case remains under investigation.
