Arrest Made in an Armed Carjacking (Gun) Offense: 100 Block of Randolph Place, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Armed Carjacking (Gun) offense that occurred on Saturday, June 1, 2019, in the 100 block of Randolph Place, Northwest.

 

At approximately 7:33pm, the victim and the suspect met via the “OfferUp” app at the listed location in reference to the sale of the victim’s cell phone. During the meeting, the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s vehicle and property. The victim complied. The suspect fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

 

On Thursday, August 1, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 26 year-old Jaquan Stewart, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Carjacking (Gun).
