Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division have announced an arrest has been made in reference to multiple Burglary Two offenses that occurred in the Second, Third and Fourth Districts.
Second District:
- On Saturday, October 1, 2016, at approximately 12:35 pm, the suspects forcibly entered a residence in the 3700 block of Chesapeake Street, Northwest. The suspects took property then fled the scene. CCN: 16-166-843
- On Monday, October 3, 2016, at approximately 12:37 pm, the suspects forcibly entered a residence in the 2800 block of 27th Street, Northwest. The suspects took property then fled the scene. CCN: 16-167-934
- On Friday, December 2, 2016, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, a 19 year-old adult male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Burglary Two.
- On Monday, October 3, 2016, at approximately 12:54 pm, the suspects entered a residence in the 3000 block of Woodland Drive, Northwest. The suspects took property then fled the scene. CCN: 16-167-987
- On Monday, October 3, 2016, at approximately 2:15 pm, the suspects forcibly entered a residence in the 5400 block of 39th Street, Northwest. The suspects took property then fled the scene. CCN: 16-168-024
Third District:
- On Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at approximately 8:30 am, the suspects forcibly entered a residence in the 1800 block of California Street, Northwest. The suspects took property then fled the scene. CCN: 16-156-091
Fourth District:
- On Monday, September 12, 2016, at approximately 1:50 pm, the suspects forcibly entered multiple residences in the 1400 block of Meridian Place, Northwest. Once inside, the suspects took property and then fled the scene. CCN: 16-154-564
- On Thursday, April 27, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, a 20 year-old adult male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Burglary Two.
- On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at approximately 8:30 am, the suspects forcibly entered a residence in the 700 block of Van Buren Street, Northwest. The suspects took property then fled the scene. CCN: 16-160-582
- On Wednesday, October 5, 2019, at approximately 1:30 pm, the suspects forcibly entered a residence in the 1400 block of Iris Street, Northwest. The suspects took property then fled the scene. CCN: 16-169-367
On Wednesday, October 16, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Major Violators Section, Fugitive Unit arrested 26 year-old Leon Barnes, of Southeast, DC. He was charged with the above offenses.
These cases remain under investigation.
