Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in connection to a homicide that occurred on Sunday, June 28, 2015, in the 1600 block of E Street, Northeast.
At approximately 5:09 pm, members of the Fifth District responded to the listed location for the sounds of gunshots. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim, unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. After all lifesaving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.
The decedent was identified as 33 year-old Darrell Grays Jr., of Northeast, DC.
On Tuesday, December 31, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force (CARFTF) arrested 27 year-old Terrell Brent, of Oxon Hill, MD. He has been charged with First Degree Murder While Armed (Premeditated).
