Arrest Made in a 2006 Homicide: 1400 Block of First Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in connection to a homicide that occurred on Monday, May 1, 2006, in the 1400 block of First Street, Northwest.

 

At approximately 8:44 pm, members of the Fifth District responded for the report of a shooting at the listed location. Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital. After all life-saving efforts failed, the victim was pronounced dead.

 

The decedent was identified as 35 year-old Marcus Johnson, of Northwest, DC.

 

On Thursday, December 26, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 32 year-old Levon Williams, of Northwest, DC, was transported by members of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fugitive Unit to the Homicide Branch, where he was charged with Second Degree Murder.
