On Saturday, August 14, 1971, at approximately 9:40 am, Ralph Edward Kmetz was found fatally shot inside his automobile which was parked at the Columbia Island Marina (located on the Virginia side of the Potomac River, near the Pentagon). The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
