On Monday, August 7, 2005, at approximately 3:40 am, police were called to the 2900 block of Knox Place, SE, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, William McDuffie, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died.
