On Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at approximately 4:48 pm, members of the First District responded to 1200 North Capitol Street, NW (Tyler House Apartments), for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located 22-year old Tecardo Justin Ward (AKA Timothy Justin Ward) in the first floor hallway, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Mr. Ward was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this incident.
