At approximately 10:30 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2002, police were called to a building located at 105 Franklin Street, NE. Upon entering, they discovered the bodies of three men suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the body and head. All three men were pronounced dead on the scene by the DC medical Examiner’s Office at 1:50 am. The three men are identified as Elvon Miller and Mitchell Johnson (aka "MickMo") of the 100 block of Franklin Street, NE, and Daniel Dimoh of the 1500 block of 7th Street, NW.
