On Friday, February 16, 2024, at approximately 1:27 pm, Mr. Leon Powell was found shot to death in the 4300 block of Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, SW. Mr. Powell had previously been reported missing in November 2023. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this homicide.
