Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District seek the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in reference to Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) and Attempted Robbery of an Establishment offenses that occurred on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, in the 600 block of Alabama Avenue, Southeast.
At approximately 8:18 pm, the suspect approached the victim inside of an establishment at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and demanded US currency. The victim refused. The suspect struck the victim with a handgun then fled the scene. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
