Circumstance:

Officer Slack, while off duty, responded to his neighbor's home, for a disturbance. The neighbor, Charles Myers stabbed Officer Slack twice with a large knife when he attempted to arrest Myers for disorderly conduct.

Charles Myers was arrested on the scene and Officer Slack died about two days later from his wounds.
