On Sunday, July 5, 2015 at approximately 4:45 p.m., Mr. Thomas Harris was assaulted in the Unit block of New York Avenue, NW. As a result of the assault, Mr. Harris died on Monday, July 6, 2015. The Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this homicide.
On Wednesday, July 15, 2015, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant 24 year-old Kenneth Garner of Southeast, DC was arrested. He was charged with First Degree Felony Murder.
