Vehicle Sought in Armed Robbery (Gun) Offenses in the Third District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District seek the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle in reference to Armed Robbery (Gun) offenses that occurred on Saturday, July 15, 2023, in the Third District.

 

  • At approximately 2:16 am, two suspects, who were in a vehicle, approached the victims in the 2100 block of 18th Street, Northwest. One of the suspects exited the vehicle and brandished a handgun.  The suspect took property from the victims then fled the scene in the vehicle.  CCN: 23-114-243

 

  • At approximately 2:19 am, two suspects approached the victims in the 1800 block of Belmont Road, Northwest.  The suspects brandished handguns and took property from the victims.  The suspects then fled the scene in the vehicle.  CCN: 23-114-266

 

  • At approximately 2:20 am, two suspects, who were in a vehicle, approached the victims at the intersection of Columbia Road and Wyoming Avenue, Northwest.  The suspects exited the vehicle and one of the suspects brandished a handgun.  The suspects took property from one of the victims then fled the scene in the vehicle.  CCN: 23-114-263

 

  • At approximately 2:22 am, two suspects, who were in a vehicle, approached the victims at the intersection of 20th Street and Columbia Road, Northwest.  The suspects exited the vehicle and brandished handguns.  The suspects took property from the victims then fled the scene.  CCN: 23-114-262

 

The suspects’ vehicle, described as a black Hyundai Sonata, last seen displaying a Connecticut tag of BE04065, was captured by a surveillance camera, and can be seen in the photos below:

 

 

Anyone who can identify this vehicle or who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
