Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's First District announce an arrest has been made in an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Monday, July 26, 2021, in the 1200 block of I Street, Southeast.
At approximately 5:50 pm, the suspects approached the victim at the listed location. One of the suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victims’ property. The victim complied. The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle.
On Wednesday, July 28, 2021, 27 year-old Raymond Benson, of Southwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery (Gun).
This case remains under investigation.
