Arrest Made in Robbery Offenses in the District

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division have announced an arrest has been made in reference to Robbery offenses that occurred in the District at the following locations:

 

First District:

  • Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle: On Monday, July 14, 2020, at approximately 10:16 pm, in the 600 block of Fairmont Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-101-512

 

Second District:

  • Armed Robbery (Knife): On Saturday, July 11, 2020, at approximately 2:55 am, in the 3400 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 20-099-811
  • Robbery (Force and Violence): On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at approximately 5:39 am, in the 4200 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 20-101-622
  • Armed Robbery (Knife): On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at approximately 6:39 am, in the 2200 block of Cathedral Avenue, Northwest. CCN: 20-101-630
  • Armed Robbery (Knife): On Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at approximately 6:15 am, in the 1700 block of P Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-101-649
  • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Monday, July 20, 2020, at approximately 1:35 am, in the 1000 block of 31st Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-103-908

 

Third District:

  • Armed Robbery (Knife): On Saturday, July 4, 2020, in the 1800 block of 14th Street, Northwest, at approximately 4:25 am. On Tuesday, July 7, 2020 a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, and a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, were arrested for this offense. CCN: 20-096-707
  • Attempt to Commit Robbery: On Saturday, July 4, 2020, in the 1300 block of 9th Street, Northwest, at approximately 9:30 am. On Tuesday, July 7, 2020 a 14 year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, and a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, were arrested for this offense. CCN: 20-096-715
  • Robbery (Force and Violence): On Monday, July 6, 2020, at approximately 5:20 am, in the 2600 block of 16th Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-099-921
  • Armed Robbery (Knife)/Theft One (Stolen Auto): On Saturday, July 18, 2020, at approximately 3:36 am, in the 1600 block of 6th Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-103-068
  • Armed Robbery (Gun): On Sunday, July 19, 2020, at approximately 3:36 am, in the 1700 block of Park Road, Northwest. CCN: 20-103-542
  • Simple Assault: On Monday, July 20, 2020, at approximately 2:00 am, in the 1300 block of 9th Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-103-905
  • Robbery (Force and Violence): On Monday, July 20, 2020, at approximately 2:05 am, in the 1100 block of O Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-103-906

 

Fourth District:

  • Unlawful Entry: On Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at approximately 11:26 pm, in the 300 block of Varnum Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-095-610
  • Unlawful Entry/Theft Two: On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at approximately 12:54 am, in the 1300 block of Randolph Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-098-799
  • Theft Two: On Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at approximately 4:30 am, in the 1300 block of Farragut Street, Northwest. CCN: 20-098-864

 

Fifth District:

  • Assault With Attempt to Commit Robbery/Simple Assault: On Sunday, July 19, 2020, in the 200 block of V Street, Northeast, at approximately 11:00 am. CCN: 20-103-595
  • Robbery (Force and Violence)/Theft One (Stolen Auto): On Sunday, July 19, 2020, at approximately 11:05 am, in the 1700 block of 1st Street, Northeast. CCN: 20-103-605

 

Seventh District:

  • Unarmed Carjacking/Unlawful Entry of a Motor Vehicle/Simple Assault: On Sunday, July 19, 2020, at approximately 7:55 am, in the 1100 block of Wahler Place, Southeast. CCN: 20-103-553

 

In addition to the above arrests, on Sunday, July 19, 2020, a 15 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with two counts of Armed Robbery (Gun), five counts of Armed Robbery (Knife), four counts of Robbery (Force and Violence), two counts of Theft One (Stolen Auto), two counts of Theft Two, two counts of Unlawful Entry, two counts of Simple Assault, Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery, Attempt to Commit Robbery, Unarmed Carjacking, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and Unlawful Entry of a Motor Vehicle.

 

These cases remain under investigation. Anyone who has knowledge of these incidents should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
