Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 1400 Block of Irving Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Third District announced two arrests have been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Thursday, May 14, 2020, in the 1400 block of Irving Street, Northwest.

 

At approximately 9:30 pm, three suspects and a victim were engaged in an argument, inside of an establishment, at the listed location. During the argument, the suspects assaulted the victim.  During the assault, one of the suspects brandished a knife and attempted to stab the victim.  The suspects then fled the scene.  The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment.  This case remains under investigation.

 

On Saturday, May 16, 2020, 29 year-old Patricia Brown, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) and Simple Assault, and 26 year-old Lynell Gant, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Simple Assault.
