Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon Offense: 1600 Block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon offense that occurred on Saturday, March 16, 2019, in the 1600 block of Connecticut Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 5:33 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect struck the victim with a bottle and fled the scene. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

On Saturday, March 16, 2019, 51-year-old Ronald Wortham, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
