The Metropolitan Police Department announces an arrest in a fatal stabbing that occurred in Northeast.
On Sunday, October 6, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers responded to the 1700 block of Lincoln Road, Northeast, for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they located an unresponsive adult male suffering from multiple stab wounds. DC Fire and EMS was called to the scene and after all lifesaving measures failed, the victim died at the scene.
The decedent has been identified as 44-year-old Antonion Woody, of Northeast.
Investigators from the Real Time Crime Center quickly located images of a suspect and broadcast a description of the suspect to officers at the scene. A short time later, the suspect was located nearby and placed under arrest.
As a result of the detectives’ investigation, 38-year-old Kevin Johnson, of Northeast, was charged with Second Degree Murder while Armed.
