Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Unarmed Bank Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, in the 1300 block of New York Avenue, Northwest.
At approximately 11:25 am, the suspect entered the Wells Fargo Bank at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect demanded US currency from the teller. The teller complied. As the suspect fled the scene he was apprehended by responding Second District officers.
On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, 55 year-old Frank Herring, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Bank Robbery.
