Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with Intent to Murder (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, in the 2600 block of Stanton Road, Southeast.
At approximately 4:11 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and shot the victim. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, a 16-year-old juvenile male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Murder (Gun).
