Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Tuesday, February 12, 2019, in the Unit block of Florida Avenue, Northeast.
At approximately 7:27 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect then brandished a knife and assaulted the victim. The suspect then fled the scene.
On Wednesday, February 20, 2019, 40-year-old Dion Andre Thompson, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
