TRAFFIC ADVISORY: 2019 Capital Pride Festival

On Saturday, June 8, 2019 through Monday, June 10, 2019, the Capital Pride Alliance will be hosting the 2019 Capital Pride Festival in the District of Columbia. In conjunction with this event, there will be several street closures that motorists should take into consideration:

Emergency No Parking Locations

 

The following streets will be posted as Emergency No Parking for the following locations from approximately 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 to 2:00 a.m. on Monday, Jun 10, 2019:

 

    • Pennsylvania Avenue, NW from 3rd Street, NW to 7th Street, NW
    • Constitution Avenue, NW from 3rd Street NW to 7th Street, NW
    • 4th Street, NW from Madison Drive, NW to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
    • 6th Street, NW from C Street, NW to Constitution Avenue, NW
    • 3rd Street, NW from Constitution Avenue, NW to Madison Drive, NW

Street Closures

 

The following streets will be closed from approximately 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 to 2:00 a.m. on Monday, Jun 10, 2019:

 

 

    • 3rd Street between Constitution Avenue and Madison Drive, NW
    • Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between Constitution Avenue and 3rd Street NW

 

The following streets will be closed from approximately 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 to 2:00 a.m. on Monday, Jun 10, 2019:

 

    • Pennsylvania Avenue, NW from 3rd Street, NW to 7th Street, NW
    • Constitution Avenue, NW from 3rd Street, NW to 7th Street, NW
    • 4th Street, NW from Madison Drive, NW to Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
    • 6th Street, NW from C Street, NW to Constitution Avenue, NW

 

All street closures and listed times are subject to change based upon prevailing or unexpected conditions.

The public should expect parking restrictions along the street and should be guided by the posted emergency no parking signage. All vehicles that are parked in violation of the emergency no parking signs will be ticketed and towed.

Motorists could encounter possible delays if operating in the vicinity of this event and may wish to consider alternative routes. The Metropolitan Police Department and the D.C. Department of Transportation also wishes to remind motorists in the vicinity of this event to proceed with caution as increased pedestrian traffic can be anticipated.
