Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to multiple Burglary offenses that occurred at the following locations:
- Burglary II: On Saturday, August 24, 2019, in the 900 block of 13th Street, Northwest, at approximately 6:29 am, the suspect unlawfully entered a construction site at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect forcefully gained access to locked rooms. The suspect then fled the scene with the victim’s property. CCN: 19-149-935
- Burglary II: On Tuesday, August 27, 2019, in the 900 block of 13th Street, Northwest, at approximately 10:28 pm, the suspect forcefully gained entry to a construction site at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect stole property and then fled the scene. CCN: 19-151-757
- Burglary II: On Thursday, August 29, 2019, in the 1901 block of L Street, Northwest, at approximately 1:54 am, the suspect unlawfully entered a construction site at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect forcefully gained access to a locked room. The suspect stole property and then fled the scene. CCN: 19-153-014
- Burglary II: On Friday, September 27, 2019, in the 2100 block of L Street, Northwest, at approximately 1:00 pm, the suspect unlawfully entered a construction site at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect forcefully gained access to a locked room, stole property, and then fled the scene. CCN: 19-174-134
- Burglary II: On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, in the 2100 block of L Street, Northwest, at approximately 12:43 am, the suspect unlawfully entered a construction site at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect forcefully gained access to a locked room in an attempt to steal property. Responding officers from the Second District apprehended the suspect. CCN: 19-175-401
On October 2, 2019, 41 year-old Derrick Humphries, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with five counts of Burglary Two.
