Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with Intent to Rob while Armed (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, February 14, 2019, in the 1000 block of Savanah Street, Southeast.
At approximately 7:43 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location and demanded money. The suspect then shot the victim and fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. The victim received treatment at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
On Thursday, February 14, 2019, 15-year-old juvenile male, of Southeast DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Rob while Armed (Gun).
