Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery offense that occurred on Monday, November 29, 2021, in the 2100 block of Vermont Avenue, Northwest.
At approximately 2:13 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun, assaulted the victim and unsuccessfully attempted to take property from the victim. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers. A handgun was recovered at the time of arrest. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
On Monday, November 29, 2021, 21 year-old Karlos Bibb, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery While Armed (Gun) and Carrying a Pistol Without a License.
