Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (BB Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, March 7, 2019, in the unit block of Massachusetts Avenue, Northwest.
At approximately 12:13 am, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect then brandished what appeared to be a handgun and threatened the victim. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers and a BB gun was recovered.
On Thursday, March 7, 2019, 53 year-old Malcolm Grooms, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (BB Gun).
