Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) Offense: 1100 Block of 25th Street, Northwest

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department's Second District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) offense that occurred on Sunday, February 2, 2020, in the 1100 block of 25th Street, Northwest.

At approximately 5:54 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a knife and fled the scene. The suspect was arrested by responding officers.  

On Sunday, February 2, 2020, 36-year-old Freda Roxanne Burris, of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife).
