On Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at approximately 5 pm, members of the Sixth District responded to the 200 block of 56th Street, NE, for a reported shooting. Once on the scene, they found the victim, identified as Sterling Lindsey, lying on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
