The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a juvenile in an armed robbery in Northwest.
On July 30, 2025, at approximately 1:31 p.m., multiple suspects approached the victim in the 1300 block of V Street, Northwest. One suspect brandished a handgun, pointing it at the victim before demanding the victim’s property. The victim complied, and the suspect fled the scene with the property.
On Sunday, September 7, 2025, pursuant to a DC Superior Court custody order, MPD members of the Juvenile Investigative Response Unit (JIRU) and the Criminal Apprehension Unit (CAU) arrested a 13-year-old juvenile male of Northwest, DC. The juvenile was charged with Armed Robbery.

This case remains under investigation.
