Motorman Dodson was chasing a speeding auto on Florida Avenue, when he ran into a streetcar loading platform.
The force of the impact was so hard that the bike continued for a block and struck a light pole at 8th and Florida Avenue. Motorman Dodson died as a result of his injuries.
