Arrest Made in an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Brass Knuckles) Offense: 2800 Block of Gainesville Street, Southeast

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District have announced an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Brass Knuckles) offense that occurred on Monday, January 21, 2019, in the 2800 block of Gainesville Street, Southeast.

At approximately 11:15 am, the suspect and victim were engaged in a verbal altercation at the listed location. The suspect then assaulted the victim with brass knuckles and fled the scene.

On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 29 year-old David Michael Young, of Southeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Brass Knuckles).
