The Police Ride-Along program allows residents to accompany officers during their tour of duty in a police vehicle. This public education program gives residents a better understanding of police operations. The Ride-Along Program serves as a mechanism for community members to personally observe patrol operations and enhance transparency between police and members of the community. If you are interested in a ride-along, please click here to access the online ride-along application (preferred).
If you are unable to submit your application electronically, you may use the paper application and release waivers, by printing and completing the application and one of the two releases. Paper materials may be accessed by clicking the "Forms" link in the related content section below.
All ride-along requests shall be submitted at least five business days before a requested ride-along date. Completing the online request or paper form does not guarantee that your ride-along request will be approved. Participants are prohibited from possessing firearms during their ride along.
To complete your ride along request, please email an image of drivers license or ID to [email protected].
