Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division announced several arrests in recent robbery cases in Washington, DC.
First District:
- On Monday, March 11, 2019, 26-year-old Marcus Wood, of Lanham, MD, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Monday, March 11, 2019, in the 300 block of 8th Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-041-206
- At approximately 2:39 pm, the suspect entered the victim’s vehicle, while the victim was inside of the vehicle, at the listed location. The suspect took property from the victim, assaulted the victim, and then fled the scene. The suspect was apprehended by responding officers.
Fourth District:
- On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, a 16-year-old Juvenile Male, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, in the 100 block of Urell Place, Northeast. CCN: 19-042-261
- At approximately 1:39 am, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects brandished a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The suspects took the victim’s property. One of the suspects was apprehended by responding officers. The case remains under investigation..
- On Monday, March 11, 2019, a 14-year-old Juvenile Male, of Southeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Thursday, March 7, 2019, in the 5500 block of South Dakota Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 19-038-972
- At approximately 3:27 pm, three suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property then fled the scene. During a canvass, one of the suspects was arrested by responding officers. On March 8th, the second suspect was located and placed under arrest. All three suspects have been apprehended.
Sixth District:
- On Monday, March 13, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 18-year-old Kanilus Gordon, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for a Robbery (Force and Violence) offense that occurred on Thursday, February 14, 2019, in the 900 block of Division Avenue, Northeast. CCN: 19-026-287
- At approximately 2:15 am, two suspects approached the victim at the listed location. The suspects assaulted the victim and took the victim’s property. The suspects then fled the scene. This case remains under investigation.
- On Friday, March 15, 2019, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 52-year-old Deyon Hampton, of Northeast, DC, was arrested for an Armed Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, January 31, 2019, in the 5000 block of D Street, Southeast. CCN: 19-018-005
- At approximately 3:00 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a handgun and physically assaulted the victim. The suspect took the victim’s property then fled the scene.
